Michael has always been drawn to
alternative medicine in terms of his own personal health and spiritual well being.
After graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a BA in Political Science,
he welcomed the opportunity to broaden his horizons through travel. His journeys took him
through the Middle East and Europe, where he met his wife and, subsequently, resided in England,
then moving on to Florida, before settling back in his home country of Canada.
As a mature student he embarked on a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine-- this is what he had been looking for! Passionate about bringing Chinese medicine to the people, the idea of a community acupuncture clinic appealed to him throughout his training and, within the Cross Currents clinic, he saw an opportunity to fulfill this dream. He believes that optimal health can be realized through regular, accessible acupuncture therapy.
Apart from Chinese medicine,
he has been a follower of Aikido, a dabbler in gliding, and an aficionado of photography.
Michael is also an avid commuting cyclist and runner, running with his two faithful dogs,
even in the Canadian winter months. He also appreciates the culinary delights of alternative diets,
including vegan cooking, and enjoys life with the full support of his wife and two beautiful daughters,
and brood of companion animals.
